Can window film help an upstairs room that runs hot?

Often, yes. When a sunny window is part of the problem, film on that glass cuts the infrared heat and glare coming in. It won't fix attic insulation or an air conditioner, and we'll tell you plainly what film can and can't do for the room.

Can the kids' windows be darker than the front?

They can. Texas puts no limit on the rear side windows, and a car with two outside mirrors can have the back window just as dark. Up front, 25% is the darkest the side windows go. The UV block is 99.99% on either Union film.
